President, Daqri Andy Lowery has joined Daqri as president. He drives growth in DAQRI’s industrial business, its fastest growing vertical. Lowery most recently held the position of Chief Engineer and engineering director for Raytheon’s Electronic Warfare Systems. As the senior technical leader of this business area, he was responsible for the engineering leadership of a business whose annual sales total over $800 million. Electronic Warfare Systems was established as a result of Lowery’s successful leadership over the capture and execution of the U.S Navy’s Next Generation Jammer competition and program. Lowery’s win positioned Raytheon as the industry leader of electronic warfare systems and resulted in the award of an estimated $8 billion dollars of revenue. Lowery was awarded the prestigious CEO Award in 2012 based upon his outstanding leadership in this role. Prior to this, Lowery served as senior technical director over the Advanced Early Warning and Reconnaissance Systems portfolio. There, he led startup efforts for Raytheon’s aircraft integration business; headed development and support activities for Airborne Reconnaissance and Early Warning Systems; and served in various capacities facilitating international exports, mergers and acquisitions and next-generation radar pursuits. Earlier roles include the Chief Engineer over a multi-billion dollar group of space programs and leading the design and manufacture of Raytheon’s electronic products. Before Raytheon, Lowery was General Manager over a commercial electronics product line at Tyco M/A-Com. In this role he was responsible for the profit and loss management of a $75 million per year business area. Earlier positions at Tyco included production management and several domestic and international business development leadership roles. Lowery has served 23 years in the U.S. Navy, in both active duty and reserve units, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. A qualified Naval Nuclear Engineer, he led groups responsible for the operation and maintenance of shipboard nuclear power plants. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal on three occasions for his exemplary service. He currently holds a technical consulting position in the U.S Navy reserves at SPAWAR, based in San Diego, CA.
