We are thrilled to announce the Open and Interoperable AR Workshop at AWE 2014 lead by Christine Perey and AR Standards.org Workshop Details Date and time: May 27, 2014 1:30 to 5:30 PM Location: Room 212 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, California Registration: Add the Tutorial Day option while you register for AWE 2014  Purpose: This workshop at AWE2014 is designed to provide professional developers a 4-hour nuts-and-bolts session on the approaches and resources available today for those who want to reach the largest audience with compelling experiences. Attendees will: Get up to speed on open source projects and standards that are available today for use in interoperable AR deployments and tools, Discover how to access and contribute to new projects and standards under development, and See, first-hand, the latest examples of open and interoperable AR implementations. CEO and President, Infinity Augmented Reality. Mr. Landenberg was the co-founder and managing partner of E-Dologic, Israel’s first interactive advertising agency, which was founded in 1999. The firm launched revolutionary campaigns for leading companies such as Coca-Cola, Mazda, Ford, JDate, Nestle and other Fortune 500 companies. In 2001 E-Dologic was acquired by Publicis Group SA, where Mr. Landenberg served as Chief Interaction Officer until January 2013. Along with building one of the largest digital advertising agencies, Mr., Landenberg is a well-known expert in the interactive media field, a highly sought-after lecturer at technology conventions and a featured TEDx conference keynote speaker. Mr. Landenberg earned an M.B.A. in Business Management from the Ruppin Academic Center and currently serves on the school’s Board of Governors. Mr. Landenberg is also the Chief Commercial Marketing Officer for the SpaceIL project, a project to land an Israeli spacecraft on the moon. Ronald Azuma

Ronald Azuma is an Augmented Reality Leader in Intel Labs, where he leads a group that designs and prototypes novel experiences that exploit upcoming technologies that will radically alter what people expect from media. Prior to joining Intel, he helped start the Nokia Research Center Hollywood and also worked at HRL Laboratories. He is known for being a pioneer in AR and is generally credited with defining the term “Augmented Reality.” He built the world’s first working AR system and wrote a paper that is the single most referenced publication in the field of AR and was listed as one of “50 influential papers” from the entire history of MIT Press journal publications. He serves on the Steering Committee for the IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR). In 2013 he was invited to give a Gilbreth Lecture to the  National Academy of Engineering.
