Microsoft’s Ripple is a new Experience Creation Framework. It is an extensible, Windows Infotainment (providing Information through Entertainment) Framework developed at Microsoft using dual projections and Interactive Floor. Ripple opens an ecosystem of having multiple experiences (both Hardware and Software) integrated at a single place based on floor tiles selection. Within Ripple, based on floor tile selection, corresponding information appears on the front and/or floor or the related experiences/special effects can be activated (like light and aroma). Apart from this basic interaction model, it enhances the gamification experience to make it more natural using multiple projections. This integrative platform binds and brings kaleidoscope of multiple, interactive functionalities under a single umbrella. This interactive installation (made by using Kinect for Windows, a PC and two projectors) provides an engaging, immersive and contemporary experience never seen before. It also comes with SDK (Software Development Kit) for easy content customization (like Videos, ppts, images, sites, custom applications) and calibration tool for mapping projections to any area. http://youtu.be/_0K4iZdMjLw...

3Gear DevKit

3Gear DevKit

Nomination for Auggie Award: Best AR Hardware Creator: Rob Wang, Chris Twigg, Kenrick Kin Organization: 3Gear Systems =*=*=*= Description: We’re three guys who believe that the future of human computer interaction isn’t a better mouse or a bigger touchscreen. We’re developing software and hardware that lets you use all ten of your fingers and both of your hands to interact with a computer like you interact with the real world. Our first product is a lamp that understands your gestures. Set it up on your desk like you would any other lamp, and it turns the space beneath it interactive. Grab virtual objects in 3D, spin them around, or pull the trigger in your favorite first person shooter. Our interactions are more ergonomic and more efficient than other gestural interfaces. Start interacting by lifting up your hand just a couple centimeters, with your arms still comfortably resting on the desk. Select objects or issue commands simply by pinching or grabbing. Use our device all day, with millimeter precision and without the gorilla arm. Nobody wants to explore their augmented reality with a keyboard and a mouse. We’ve built a powerful and comfortable new way to interact with computers. All you need to do is to put our lamp on your desk. Augmented reality screen shot credit: Keytree UK Where to find it:...

CEO Vision

CEO Vision

Nomination for Auggie Award: Best AR for Enterprise Creator: William Powell Organization: Keytree Limited =*=*=*= Description: CEO Vision provides augmented reality in your glasses that you can manipulate with your hands. What we look at defines our interest; CEO Vision sees our world then detects, recognises and tracks object of interest overlaying content that can be provided by lightning fast servers and databases in the cloud. This is paired with advanced hand tracking that allows you to pinch, touch and manipulate the virtual objects using your hands and fingers. More advanced gestures sit on top allowing you to have pinch to zoom, scroll but this time in full 3D. Example case: you pick up a DVD case and could immediately see the trailer on the case and could then touch an area upon it to see box office sales across the world. These figures would be shown on a virtual globe, which you can make bigger and rotate by grabbing hold of the two sides of the globe and stretching it with nothing but bare hands. Where to find it: Please contact Keytree Platforms: Projection, Glasses, Stationary Device, Gesture Device Additional Screenshots:...
