Uwe Vogel became skilled worker in semiconductor microelectronics (Funkwerk Erfurt) in 1983, received diploma in information technology (TU Chemnitz) in 1991, doctoral degree in biomedical engineering in 1999 (TU Dresden). After visiting Center for Applied Optics Studies at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Terre Haute/Indiana, 1992) and a position in hearing research at Dresden University hospital (1995-1998) he has been with Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) in Dresden/Germany since 1998, starting there as analog IC designer. Since 2000 he has managed an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC design group, and later on has founded OLED-on-CMOS activities mainly focusing on the design of OLED-on-CMOS devices and applications, backplanes, OLED displays (microdisplay, near-to-eye display/augmented-reality, 3D displays), OLED display driver IC, high-speed data transmission, MEMS-CMOS integration. In 2010 he has been appointed head of the newly formed business unit “OLED microdisplays and sensors” inside IPMS’ Center for Organic Materials and Electronic Devices Dresden (COMEDD), being dedicated Fraunhofer Research Institution since July 2012. He is coordinator of several collaborative projects on OLED microdisplays at European and national levels....

Mr. Wright has been with Qualcomm since January 2008, and brings 17 years of experience in developing software and services for mobile and wireless devices. Beginning in 1993 with the launch of Apple’s Newton PDA, Mr. Wright envisioned that low-cost consumer devices would enable a new wave of enterprise automation for mobile workers. As Founder and CEO of Wright Strategies Inc., he led the development of tools and software infrastructure that enabled Windows solution providers to develop and deploy PDA applications capable of synchronizing data with enterprise data sources. The company’s FormLogic software platform was used to deploy tens of thousands of devices for industry leaders including Anheuser Busch, Apple, Disney, Hasbro, Maybelline, Microsoft, and Taco Bell. He has independently developed datagloves and limb-tracking systems, and as part of the Human Aerospace Lab at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, developed self-contained high-frequency wireless data-capture devices for use in movement disorder and tuberculosis research. He is currently working on developing an inexpensive, wearable, and unobtrusive full-body inertial motion-capture system for use with the next generation of head-mounted displays in mobile Augmented Reality applications....
