Simon studied Computer Science at the RWTH Aachen and specialized in the areas of software engineering, computer vision and machine learning. He is a passionate open source developer who has managed several software projects and created DroidAR, an Augmented Reality framework used by over 8000 developers worldwide. He is a well seen speaker on conferences like the Droidcon and in 2010 cofounded the Google Developer Group Aachen. 2012 he started together with Mostafa Akbari his company bitstars which has Augmented and Virtual Reality content creation as its focus.
