Evena Medical, Inc.

Evena Medical, Inc.

With a patented near-infrared (NIR) visualization solution, Evena Medical affords evaluation of an entire limb at one glance while also verifying blood flow. Quick, thorough vein assessment allows for faster, easier and safer IV starts. Verification of vein patency eliminates subjective guessing for those caring for patients and administering venipuncture. Delivering a crisp, unobscured image – permitting access on the first attempt. Evena Medical’s patented near-infrared light captures the most difficult vein images including those patients that are overweight or with darker colored skin. Evena is first-to-market with an infiltration / extravasation / patency /visualization platform. The patented imaging system provides crisp views of the vein patency. Irrefutable documentation of all procedures is essential to the care giver. http://www.evenamed.com  ...

Tutorial: Top 10 Augmented Reality SDKs for Developers

Tutorial: Top 10 Augmented Reality SDKs for Developers

AWE 2013 ended over 2 months ago and the amazing energy generated by attendees can still be felt: “There is a gold rush mentality in Augmented Reality” says said John Jackson, an analyst for market tracker IDC. Many new “diggers” (aka developers) are joining the space and one of the first question asked is: “what are the best AR SDKs in the market?” Luckily, Patrick O’Shaughnessey, our AWEsome CTO, did a fantastic job answering this question in his tutorial at AWE 2013. The 3 hour session lead by Patrick reviewed the best Mobile AR SDKs in the market and how to get started with them, followed by vendor presentations featuring: 13th Lab, Metaio, Vuforia by Qualcomm, Total Immersion, and Wikitude. You won’t find a better summary and comparison of the leading AR SDKs by an independent person who’s worked with literally all leading AR SDKS. And as a bonus, we top it off with an AR Design workshop by the great Mark Billinghurst! Here it is. Enjoy.
