Rolly is a Program Manager at Microsoft. She has around four years of work experience in diverse fields like design, technology and management. Her interests lie in creative and interdisciplinary research work.
She is from the founding batch of the Young India Fellowship Programme (YIFP)– a multi-disciplinary, post graduate program started in 2011 in collaboration with University of Pennsylvania.
One of her team projects named ‘viSparsh’, an electronic navigation belt for visually impaired was selected among the top 12 finalists of Asian Innovations Awards 2012 by The Wall Street Journal and was also titled ‘Accenture Innovation Jockeys 2012’ in a country wide contest powered by Yahoo.
Her team also developed a wearable prototype (in the form of a t-shirt) for real-time health monitoring for which they won the first runner up prize at Health2.0 Developer’s World Cup 2012 at San Francisco by competing other country winners.
Rolly started her career as a Scientist Fellow at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and had other stints in research organizations like Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and Raman Research Institute.
She currently lives in Hyderabad- India.
